This blog post is TOTALLY stolen...




My purpose in beginning this blog was to show how Bible prophecy is being played out in our world today. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have been meaning to post more about the 'religion' and less of the 'politics' on this blog. For whatever reason, I just can't seem to find the time to research and convey my thoughts in a concise enough manner to do the topic justice...


Today, I found this GREAT POST over at ..."In A Handbasket" It is completely in tune with what I intended to do with my blog. Here it is, with some other items that will hopefully give an unbeliever something to think about. Or maybe just strengthen someone else's faith. I pray that some light bulb would go off for even one person who might happen to read this.

Buying Into Chrislam

"Chrislam, as the name suggests, is a growing movement wherein some Christians are seeking to find common ground with Muslims. Indeed, it actually seeks to combine Christianity with Islam. It is a syncretistic movement that speaks about "spirituality without boundaries."


Whenever you hear that sort of talk, you should start heading for the hills.


That is exactly what we find in some leftist Christian circles, today. Tony Campolo, for example, has argued that "interfaith prayers and even mystical unions are critical for all true peacemakers." And given that a leftist version of "social justice" seems to be the most important agenda item for Campolo, it is not surprising that he can praise Islam in these terms: "When it comes to what is ultimately important, the Muslim community's sense of commitment to the poor is exactly in tune with where Jesus is in the 25th chapter of Matthew."


More recently, emerging church movement leader Brian McLaren has written a five part blog entry on why Christians should join with Muslims in celebrating Ramadan. In it he said, "We as Christians humbly seek to join Muslims in this observance of Ramadan as a God-honouring expression of peace, fellowship and neighbourliness."


Once again, the emphasis is on getting along; harmony and unity. The problem is that both of these faiths are ultimately evangelistic, exclusive and mutually incompatible. The heart of the Christian truth claim is that Jesus is God's Son, sent to save us from our sins by his crucifixion, death and resurrection. Islam claims that it is blasphemous to say that God has a Son, and they believe that Jesus' death was faked and that the resurrection was a lie.


How can two faiths get along when they are at heart directly opposed to each other?


Ultimately, they can't. Not unless one is watered down to the point of being meaningless. Which is exactly what the leftist Christian leaders are doing.


Christians engaged in the "interfaith" movement tend to engage in at least three harmful activities. (Harmful to the purposes of Christianity). One, they downplay and minimize the truth claims of Biblical Christianity. Two, they downplay and minimize the horrendous Muslim persecution of Christians all around the world, while there is no equivalent Christian persecution of Muslims. And Three, they fail in the most important calling of Christians: to evangelize and disciple all nations.


For all the talk of harmony, unity and friendship, the Chrislam movement is a move in the wrong direction. I, for one, will have nothing to do with it, and I hope all serious followers of Christianity will avoid it like the plague."







As I commented on her post, Tony Blair and Rick Warren are totally touting "Interfaithism". We are seeing the beginnings of the 'one world religion' to go along with the 'one world government' and 'one world currency' that will be in practice in the day of the Anti-christ.

Now that article really sounds good. Sounds tolerant. Sounds very "Kumbaya"ish. All that is wonderful, right? Not really. Not when your immortal soul's destination hinges on whether or not you believe THE TRUTH. Sorry. This is something that CANNOT be compromised. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by me." Period. End of discussion. You either believe it or you don't. The enemy wants us to all "get along" as we are blinded to the Truth...

Probably old news by now...





I LOVE the internet and being able to read the news via blogs instead of (in conjunction with) the MSM. Tonight on Lou Dobbs, someone (sorry, can't remember who...was making dinner) made the point that when we were young, there were only 3 major news outlets who reported on the same news items in probably the same order every evening. What we have now...unlimited news at our fingertips...has the power to literally change current events.

Tea Party Thoughts...9/12/09





Well...I am overjoyed by the reports I am STRAINING to hear today... C-Span, the blogs and an English paper are doing the best coverage, so far.


Looks like the 9/12/09 Tea Party was a smashing success, in terms of turnout. Now, let's see if Washington is listening. I would venture a guess that even though MSM is turning a deaf ear for the purpose of keeping the sheeple uninformed (or MIS-informed), the powers that be are VERY KEENLY aware of just how much outrage was expressed today. The question is, will they act on what they are hearing? Or will this all be for naught...


I found this bit of information over at "America's Right", where my Congressman, Mike Pence was named. Seems he was at the party and had some interesting things to say. Now, it is common knowledge that a few years ago, I sent some rather scathing emails and made some pretty irrate phone calls to Mr. Pence's office for his stance on illegal amnesty...
But it looks as if I may re-evaluate Mr. Pence in light of today's remarks: I voted for Ron Paul last election, but if the Republicans are serious about changing this country...well, let's just say, we shall be watching and listening very intently.

Congressman Joe Wilson calls B.O. a liar and Pelosi almost swoons...

Just finished watching "the last desperate gasp" by B.O. to push Obamacare. Waiting to hear which elected official shouted out, "YOU LIE" during the speech. I can't remember exactly what The President was referring to. I believe it was the point right between "we won't cut health care for our Seniors", and "we won't fund abortion".

{EDITED TO ADD}: Found the link on "Gateway Pundit's" blog...He was referring to insuring illegal immigrants. How COULD I have forgotten THAT??? here it is (I couldn't get it to embed.)

People who watch Fox News are NOT MORONS!!!

Just taking a minute from my Labor Day/wedding anniversary weekend to do a quick blog post...

Last night, Jim and I were watching a Tucker Carlson special, "Do You Know What Textbooks Your Children Are Really Reading?" on Fox. It was VERY GOOD and I hope you all caught it. It is on You Tube in 9 minute segments, at least for now. Anyway, at one point I became so enraged I started SCREAMING at the TV. It was when Dr. Gregory Starrett was speaking. The segment involved the "Islamic Saudi Academy" (a school in Virgina which is funded by Saudi Arabia) and this joker was brought in as one of two so called "experts", whose purpose was to find out what exactly was being taught there.

At around 2:05 of this clip, he is speaking and uses the phrase "causal agent", when he suddenly stops, rolls his eyes and says, "let me re-phrase that for a Fox cable news audience."


I was stunned. These people must REALLY think we ARE neanderthals. Amazing...
